Ever since Marissa Mayer became Yahoo's CEO 14 months ago, she's already completed several extreme makeovers: a new Flickr (which we like very much), a new policy that forces employees to come in to work, and just yesterday the company revealed a new logo.

You like? We sure do. It's not as goofy as the original.

"We wanted a logo that stayed true to our roots (whimsical, purple, with an exclamation point) yet embraced the evolution of our products," the company said.

The Sunnyvale-based company unfurled the logo on its Tumblr page Wednesday night. (The company, if you recall, purchased Tumblr for $1.1 billion back in May.)This marks the first time the company has changed its official signage since the Internet company's founding 18 years ago.
