Police have finally apprehended the man believed responsible for kicking a woman in the face during the Pink Saturday festivities in the Castro on June 30. Christopher Porter-Bailey, 23, of Oakland was arrested on Friday in connection with the attack. The suspect allegedly kicked the woman in the face so hard (while bystanders looked on) that he left her unconscious.

Police released this footage a week after the attack.

According to NBC Bay Area: "On Wednesday, police officer Albie Esparza said that Porter-Bailey is the same man featured in the video. But he would not disclose any more, including if the dissemination of the video helped in the case."

Speaking of crime in the Castro, Supervisor Scott Wiener and community leaders will hold a safety meeting tonight (the second one this year) to discuss safety concerns of citizenry. It all goes down at 6:30 p.m. at the Eureka Valley Recreation Center (100 Collingwood Street).
