Photos: California's First Gay Marriage In Over Four Years


After a too-long wait, Kris Perry and Sandy Stier, the lead plaintiffs in the Prop. 8 case, didn't waste any more time and finally tied the knot in San Francisco City Hall Friday afternoon with the official blessing from California Attorney General Kamala Harris.

"By the power vested in me by the state of California," Attorney General Harris said, standing on the balcony overlooking the main floor of city hall just before 5 p.m. on Friday, "I now pronounce you spouses for life."
