Although we cannot officially confirm the origin nor flavor of said beverage, the Examiner reports that a milkshake, or similar blended dessert drink, played an integral part in a stabbing on Jones Street in Fisherman's Wharf.

According to police, two female suspects were in a coffee shop on the 2800 block of Jones around 8:40 p.m. last night, when one threw the drink at a customer. The victim of the beverage barrage, a 44-year-old man, walked the two suspects out of the shop, only to have one of them pull a knife and stabbed him in the back. The pair fled on foot and had not been arrested as of Wednesday. The victim's injuries were not considered to be life threatening.

A little quick detective work (read: Google maps search) reveals the only coffee shop on that block is a Starbucks on the corner, so evidence would suggest that a Frappucino was involved in this unfortunate incident. SFist's preliminary investigations into this milkshake mystery initially suspected a Neapolitan from In-N-Out around the corner may have been involved, but we later realized no one would ever willingly throw away their In-N-Out like that.
