Wise Sons, the oft-celebrated Jewish deli that got its start at the Ferry Building before leading the people out of exile to their new permanent home on 24th Street, is getting a third location and bagel dispensary in the Contemporary Jewish Museum, which is much less of a schlep for those lunchtime Reubens and breakfast bialys.

The new location will open in the museum's 30-seat cafe space this summer with a slightly smaller version of the menu from their 24th Street spot. You won't need a museum ticket to get in, but diners will have to go through museum security. "We're calling it the most secure Jewish Deli in San Francisco," co-owner Evan Bloom joked to the Chronicle. (Or: "just pretend you're in Israel," as Eater so eloquently put it.)

For quicker turnaround, a takeout window with extended hours will aide in dining on the museum's delightful public plaza or grabbing breakfast. The menu will feature a few new sandwiches, but will also offer veggie options and salads, as well as soups for matzo-ball emergencies. The new location will also be the the only place in the city to get Beauty's Bagels imported from Oakland.

In addition to the new space, titular menschen Evan Bloom and Leo Beckerman say they plan on increasing pastrami production as well as freeing up some space in the 24th Street deli by opening a commissary kitchen in the Mission. They're also looking to double their current staff of 20 people.

Finally, in the interest of being democratic, we should point out the nearest Palestinean food to the CJM, is a (really delicious) Falafel truck that is exiled to Fifth and Minna and only on Wednesdays. (Update: commenter Daisy Church points out there's also Sunrise Deli, home of "the best Middle Eastern cuisine in the Bay Area" nearby on Second Street.)
