The proprietor of Russian Hill restaurant Allegro Romano was none too happy with a health inspector dropping by on Friday, and expressed his displeasure in a way that most of us could only fantasize about: he allegedly slapped him.

Inside Scoop reports that Lorenzo Logoreci, the owner of Allegro Romano, was having work done on the old Rue Saint Jacques space to open a new spot to be called Ala Romana. A health inspector, who was on his way to a different inspection, noticed the work in process and cited the owner for an environmental health violation, at which point police say Logoreci got upset and abusive. Logoreci then allegedly slapped the inspector.

Logoreci, for his part, acknowledged that an argument occurred with the health inspector, noting that "the inspector [was] picking on small businesses."
