The increasingly hip Outer Sunset just got a little more gritty this week. A man was stabbed in the chest while waiting for a friend near 25th Avenue and Ortega Street around 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
Two assailants, it seems, approached the victim and asked for his cash and personal belongings. "When the victim refused to hand over his money, one of the crooks stabbed him in the chest," notes SF Examiner. "The victim was able to push himself away from his attackers and fled."
The victim dashed into a local corner store to get help. But when the store employee called 911, the wounded man left before the police arrived. He had a pal drive him to a nearby hospital to seek help for his non-life-threatening wounds.
Alas, no arrests have been made. No description of the suspects is available at this time.
