Around 7:20 a.m. Friday morning, a corporate shuttle for Genentech managed to not only make its own riders late for work, but probably a few other innocent commuters as well. Local tweeter SFConcierge photographed the accident after the shuttle collided with an SUV near the intersection of Divisadero and Pine.

According to our witness, the bus blocked all four lanes of traffic on Divisadero until around 8:30 a.m. this morning. Muni spokesman Paul Rose told Bay City News that service on the 24-Divisadero route had to be diverted for about an hour and the driver of the SUV was taken to S.F. General with minor injuries. No one really cared to report whether or not another shuttle came to pick up any Genentech employees who were on their way down to the company's offices in South San Francisco.

Genentech's bus routes were not on Stamen Design's excellent Corporate Shuttle Map posted last year, at least one other company has a shuttle that follows the 24-Divisadero line down the hill from Pac Heights.
