Today on the Bold Italic they've got a funny bit from Dave Gordon covering a host of very San Franciscan phobias, such as the fear of forgetting your reusable bag and being shamed at Rainbow Grocery, running into your boss at Folsom Street Fair (this has happened to us), and getting stuck in Oakland because you just missed the last BART train.

Also, there's the well known aversion we all have to dating someone who lives in some hellandgone part of town. (As they noted in the still funny-to-us 'Shit San Franciscans Say,' "North Beach is so hard to get to" and "I don't go to the Avenues.")

And, of course, there's the fear that Oakland is becoming cooler than the Mission. "Our Oakland friends tell us this has already happened," writes Gordon.
