The body that was found, wet and clothed, yesterday morning at Shorebird Park in Emeryville has not been publicly identified, however Fremont police are suggesting that it belongs to a Fremont woman who was reported missing. The woman is thought to have drowned herself.
It seems quite likely, since the woman's car was found nearby, and since people who knew her reported that she had threatened to drown herself in the Emeryville area. The woman's name and age have not yet been released.
Her body was discovered around 7:15 a.m. Thursday by a passerby on the beach that is west of Interstate 80, near Chevy's restaurant.
