Because you've obviously all been dying to know, the title of the upcoming Woody Allen film that he shot primarily in San Francisco last year will be Blue Jasmine. The title apparently refers to Cate Blanchett's character, who's name is Jasmine, a New York woman who's going through an "acute crisis" and ends up in S.F.

We had heard earlier that the plot related to "A posh ex-new Yorker who tries to make it on a budget in San Francisco after her life comes crashing down."

The film was just acquired by Sony Pictures Classics, which also released his most recent films To Rome With Love and Midnight in Paris. The cast also includes Alec Baldwin, Bobby Cannavale, Louis C.K., Andrew Dice Clay, Sally Hawkins, Peter Sarsgaard, and Michael Stuhlbarg

No release date has been set.
