At the end of the first half, the Niners lead the Green Bay Packers 24-21, thanks in part to a muffed punt by Green Bay's dejected Jeremy Ross and a third-and-goal touchdown by wide receiver Michael Crabtree, who left Packers linebacker Brad Jones literally eating dust on the goal line in Candlestick Park.
Niners kicker David Akers ended the half with a 36-yard field goal, putting San Francisco in the lead.
