King Middle School was put on lockdown this morning after a gold-chain robbery suspect was allegedly seen with a gun near the school.

"About 10:20 a.m., officers were called to an area near the school at 26890 Holly Hill Ave. after a report of a gold-chain robbery involving two suspects," reports Oakland Tribune. "The suspects then got into a car, fled and were chased by police at speeds of about 35 mph in a residential area near the school." During the chase, the car stopped and, as suspects do, they got out and ran.

No reports yet of any gunshots or injuries.

The car, of course, was stolen. As of noon, officers have not made any arrests. We'll update as soon as we know more.
