When it came to beer, Henry Weinhard dreamed big. How big? In 1887, Henry Weinhard tried to fill a fountain with beer. But he had even bigger plans for the beer he dedicated his life to. And in 2012, a team of devoted fans finally brought his greatest invention to life.
Walking keg aside, Henry’s is everywhere—six packs at your grocery store and bottles and tap at your neighborhood watering hole. And there’s a good six varieties to choose from, so things stay a little interesting. The Woodland Pass IPA, Redwood Flats Amber, and the Private Reserve are the newest brews to go fully national, but the Private Reserve has been kicking it for a while: it’s been happily winning awards since 2000.
His brewery turned 156 this year, so do Henry proud and head over to the Henry Weinhard Facebook page to see what it's all about—and to post a picture of the Henrys in your area!
