As the first team in the National League to overcome a 0-2 deficit in the division series, the San Francisco Giants set a record today. While most people would attribute the series win to solid on-field performances, the folks at the San Francisco Zoo believe this newborn orange and black primate had something to do with it.
In a Facebook update, the Zoo explains that the little gal, called a François' Langur was born last weekend, right before the Giants started to turn the series around in game three. What's more, this particular species is born with Giants-orange hair that turns black as they mature. So, there you go, baseball superstition is alive and well.
Anyhow, the zoo needs help naming the new baby girl. They've already got a penguin named Buster out there, but we think "Posey" could be a sweet name for a ginger girl, yes?
