Just before 9 p.m. Tuesday night, the wave of knife crime claimed another victim on Stevenson Street near Fifth Street in SoMa. The 54-year-old victim had apparently been arguing with the suspect — who was an acquaintance of his — before the guy decided to stab him in the chest and flee the scene.

The victim's stab wounds were considered life threatening and he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. No word yet on his condition, and the 30-something suspect had not been found as of yesterday morning.
