A 35-year-old woman was stabbed in the chest with a screwdriver in an apparent domestic dispute yesterday in the Mission, on 26th Street between York and Hampshire. The suspect, a 27-year-old male, was arrested at the scene. Apparently the two got into an argument around 1:30 p.m. Monday, and he grabbed the screwdriver and stabbed her, inflicted life-threatening injuries.
The victim was taken to S.F. General for treatment and we have no further word on her condition.
This year, in addition to our much noted, possibly but inconclusively extraordinary wave of knife crime, we've also seen a woman stabbed with a fork on Muni, and more recently, a mugging that took place with the aid of a potato peeler.
Sincerely, we want this to stop.
