Scratch those breakfast plans. The Occupy SF commune at 888 Turk lasted just about as long as it did the first time around on April 1st. According to the Examiner, SFPD moved in around 5 a.m. this morning and arrested 26 Occupiers while Animal Care & Control carted off their two dogs.
Jessie Nesbitt, a 34-year-old San Franciscan, was identified as yesterday's brick thrower who was arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault last night. Another protester was cited yesterday evening for being in the street and failing to obey a traffic officer. The rest of this morning's arrests apparently went smoothly, with SFPD calling it "a successful operation."
