The ongoing wave of knife crime in S.F., which continues to disturb our dreams, claimed another victim last night: A 26-year-old man was randomly stabbed in the chest by a passerby who said "excuse me" as he bumped the guy. The motive doesn't appear to have been robbery, and the incident happened at around 1 a.m. this morning at 24th and Bartlett Streets.
The victim says that he thought the guy had punched him in the chest, and continued walking home (possibly drunk?), where he found that he had, in fact, been stabbed. He went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, described only as a man of about 30, remains at large.
