A guy who (likely) thought he was walking into a friend's house at 4:20 a.m. Sunday in Foster City was shot multiple times by a guest in the home who thought he was an intruder. The 24-year-old victim is, sadly, now in intensive care, and it appears he was very intoxicated at the time of the incident. The shooter, a Brentwood man in his 40s whose name has not been released, has not been charged with any crime, but it remains unclear whether he actually believed he was in any danger when he shot the unarmed intruder, which could lead to a charge.

A 911 call was placed reporting a burglary around 4:20, and police arrived two minutes later to hear shots being fired inside the home.

Ironically, the victim was studying law enforcement and worked as a security guard. It is not known how badly he was wounded or how many times he was shot.
