Carry-On Knife Results In Man's Arrest at Oakland Airport

Oops. After discovering a 4-inch butterfly knife in a carry-on bag, a 38-year-old Chicago man was arrested at Oakland International Airport on Thursday. "The man, who was headed to Las Vegas on a Spirit Airlines flight, told TSA agents he had forgotten the knife was in his bag and was unaware it was prohibited," reports Oakland Tribune.

In related airport stupidity, vile California Assemblyman Tim "Stop the DREAM Act" Donnelly (R, Twin Peaks) was "cited and released" at Ontario International Airport after a loaded handgun was discovered inside his briefcase. Repeat: an elected official was pinched for carrying a loaded gun at an airport. Publicity stunt or not, good grief. That wasn't bright.
