74-year-old Ying Hua Wu, who is the sole suspect in the December 9th stabbing death of his 72-year-old wife Hao Mei Wu, remains in custody in the hospital this week, and his arraignment has now been delayed twice for what defense attorneys say are "medical reasons." You may recall that Ying Hua Wu stabbed himself in the neck with a knife and furthermore confronted paramedics with the same knife the night of the murder.

Hao Mei Wu was found manually strangled to death in the couple's Bernal Heights home, and paramedics on the scene were unable to revive her. Ying Hua Wu was subdued and taken to the hospital along with his wife and has remained there ever since.

His next arraignment date has been set for January 12.
