Those enjoying a relaxed holiday week should get out and learn about the Nob Hill and Union Square spots featured in Vertigo and other S.F.-based Hitchcock classics at San Francisco City Guides' Hitchcock Tour.
The tour focuses on why and how he chose and filmed various S.F. hotels, clubs, retail stores, and other locales while providing a lesson on their "history, architecture, and the stories they tell about the San Francisco of fifty years ago and today."
The tour, which runs year-round, meets this Friday at 11 a.m. at the fountain in Huntington Park (Sacramento between Taylor and Mason) and ends in Union Square.
