Quickly on the road to full recovery, Scott Olsen, the ex retired marine and Iraq War veteran who was critically injured by a police projectile during an Occupy Oakland raid back in October, spoke to MSNBC and USA today earlier this week. He's regained his voice since he made his first statement a couple of weeks back, but speaking is still a challenge for him.
Scott says about his participation in Occupy Oakland:
I'm there protecting the rights that we have. When I took the enlistment oath when I joined the marines, I swore to uphold and defend the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic, and I'm continuing to do that.
USA Today visited Olsen at home and accompanied him to Frank Ogawa Plaza:
Olsen, who has grown quite a mane of hair, told USA Today he won't be cutting it until both wars are over.
