Scott Olsen, the San Mateo marine and Iraq War veteran who was critically injured by a police projectile during the previous Occupy Oakland raid a few weeks back, released a statement this morning via oft-neglected Google Plus. He's on the mend but still regaining his speech with lots of therapy. He assures us we'll be hearing more from him soon:
I'm feeling a lot better, with a long road in front of me. After my freedom of speech was quite literally taken from me, my speech is coming back but I've got a lot of work to do with rehab. Thank you for all your support, it has meant the world to me. You'll be hearing more from me in the near future and soon enough we'll see you in our streets!
Scott's recovery will likely breathe new life into the Occupy movement -- can Google Plus hope for the same?
