The Ritz-Carlton's new restaurant, Parallel 37, will open its doors before Christmas (say what you will about the tony hotel establishment, but its San Francisco locale is the place to go during festivities surrounding the birthday of that alleged Lord and Savior), which you can try out soon. Very soon. They're taking lunch and dinner reservations at OpenTable. So... hurry.
Also, as Inside Scoop points out, the new digs will focus on its bar now. In fact, they've brought in a noted bartender to help run the boozy side of things. "To run the bar side of the operation, Parallel 37 has hired Camber Lay, who earned Chronicle Bar Star status in 2008 while at Epic Roasthouse. She’s since been at Town Hall, and also lists places like Frisson and Range on her resume." Which is to say, we can't wait to taste her frozen Cosmos. Ha. Yeah. We know, everyone's supposed to hate vodka now. Got it. Anyway, point being: Lay's stuff is exemplary.
