In order to keep the city's nexus of tourism and colorful panhandling safe, the Fisherman's Wharf Community Benefit District and the SFFD along with the Department of Emergency Management will be running a fake emergency this morning, reports Bay City News. The safety drill should happen sometime between 9 and 11 a.m. this morning and is followed by a PIERsafe expo about local emergency response tools and training. It all goes down at the aquatic park, so be on alert, Dolphin Club swimmers.
