PARTY: Tonight's edition of Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive's L@TE series presents a screening of the gloriously awful Forbidden Zone, along with a celebration of the Create exhibition, which closes this month, featuring films and video projections, a moderated discussion with the artists, a dance party DJ’d by some of the centers’ artists, and other special surprises. (7 p.m., BAM/PFA, 2626 Bancroft Way, Berkeley)

ART: Proof is this year's theme of the Southern Exposure's Entry-Fee Free Juried Exhibition, which is intended to inspire and encourage a broad level of creative response and is left open to the artists' interpretation in hopes that the work is "conceptually and aesthetically diverse, drawing from as many insights and forms of creativity as possible." (6 to 9 p.m., Southern Exposure, 3030 20th Street)

MUSIC: Swedish freak-dance-pop-gurus, Teddybears, headline tonight's Popscene, with guests K.Flay’s ("eclectic hip-hop") and TIGERcat ("super sexy synth-pop and electro-dance"), along with DJ Aaron Axelsen, of course. (9 p.m., Rickshaw Stop, 155 Fell Street)
