MUSIC I: SF Jazz presents Rupa & the April Fishes, who will perform their "intoxicating blend of music that echoes with influences of French chanson, Argentinean tango, Gypsy swing, American folk, Latin cumbias, and even Indian ragas" in the open air of Union Square. (6 p.m., Union Square, Geary and Powell)

FILM: SFMOMA concludes its Opera on Film series with The Who's Tommy, which was the first official "rock opera," although "cantata" is reportedly a more accurate description. (7 p.m., The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, 151 Third Street)

MUSIC II: Internationally-acclaimed klezmer and classical clarinetist David Krakauer will take the stage for an intimate performance and conversation about his path to becoming a professional musician in two genres, as part of Salon97′s Meet the Artist Series.
