Does This Failed 'Bachelorette' Contestant Really Want to Be Mayor of S.F.?

After being rejected by Bachelorette Ashley Hebert on national television Monday night, scorned suitor Ben Flajnik of Sonoma took to Twitter to redefine his role in the world as "winemaker, failed proposer, and future mayor of San Francisco." Does the guy just have a Gavin complex or is he actually serious?

The Examiner jumped on the news this a.m., as did the Appeal, but we're pretty darn sure Flajnik won't be gathering the necessary signatures before the August 12 cutoff for declaring his candidacy. (Mostly, it seems, he's just drumming up publicity/sympathy from his 10 minutes of fame for his Evolve Winery, as he did in this piece in the Press-Democrat this week.)

Ed Lee, meanwhile, keeps us waiting like a puppy for his owner outside Bi-Rite, and we remain, vigilantly looking out for him to appear again and tell us the news.
