A photographer presumably taking some night shots of the gilding on City Hall was robbed last night near Polk and Grove Streets in Civic Center. According to the Examiner, the 45-year old man suffered head lacerations as two teens aged 16 and 17 clocked him over the head before making off in their 1997 Hyundai.

According to Bay City News, the photographer's camera was swiped during the assault, but he managed to follow the vehicle despite his head injuries. After giving the cops a description of the classic high school clunker, cops arrested the two boys. The photographer/hero was treated at SF General and is doing just fine.

This marks the city's third pistol-whipping in a week and the second involving teenagers.
