MUSIC/POETRY: Head over to the beautiful Fort Mason for an intimate poetry reading and music performance as part of the weekly Thursdays at Readers 2011 Poetry Series, featuring the legendary Jonathan Richman and poet Maketa Smith-Groves. The event, which is curated and hosted by Friends of the SFPL’s Poet-in-Residence Jack Hirschman, benefits the San Francisco Public Library. (6:30 p.m., Readers Cafe, Building C, South End, Fort Mason Center)

FILM: Dirty Diaries, a collection of twelve short erotic films by Swedish women directors who are shattering preconceived notions of feminist porn, blends "hetero, queer and somewhere-in-between." The shorts are "hot, funny, intense, weird and sometimes quite confrontational," and somehow the project received funding from the Swedish government. Go, Sweden! (7:30 p.m., Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, 701 Mission Street)

PANEL: SF Camerawork has invited the photographers from the collective Black Boots Ink for a panel discussion about their work and their most recently published magazine, which showcases photography, essays and poetry both online and in print, "emphasizing a multi-voice, visual narrative about the rituals of life in the pursuit of happiness." (7 to 9 p.m., SF Camerawork, 657 Mission Street)
