Too lazy to walk those couple of blocks to the news boxes? No matter. Herein we bring you the pertinent highlights from this week's batch of alt weelies.

SF Weekly

OK. On the surface, this week's cover story did not sound like much: Used clothing donation bins around the Bay Area are actually connected to some shady international organization that's not really a non-profit. Well, we have to hand it to Matt Smith at the Weekly, this story about Campus California and their ties to a creepy Danish cult called the Teachers Group, and a larger, shadowy entity known in Europe as Tvind, is pretty fascinating! The org is led by "charismatic outlaw" Mogens Amdi Petersen, who founded the Teacher Group in the 1970s and has a number of loyal followers, and they seem to have created quite the international racket for themselves just by collecting and recycling used clothing under the auspices of some seemingly fake non-profits. So ignore those green bins on Divis and keep lugging your stuff to Goodwill, everyone!!
