On May 13, if you recall, a fire displaced residents of 506 Capp Street. A fundraiser will be held at Tope in North Beach to help them reclaim their lives. Head over to Mission Mission to find out more.

Sarah Armstrong, one of the fire's several victims, explains why she and her former roommies need your dough: "I am raising money for... helping me and my roommates rebuild our lives after the fire that took our home on 5/13. The money collected will go towards... toiletries, clothes, shoes, books, bedding, kitchenware, and a million other necessities. Most importantly, our landlord has fled the country and we will use the money towards new security deposits and first month's rent!"
