COMICS: Daniel Clowes, of Ghost World fame, is at City Lights tonight celebrating the release of Mister Wonderful, a newly published collection of his Eisner Award-winning comic series that originally appeared in The New York Times Magazine, along with forty pages of new material. FILM: See the many shades of Faye Dunaway at the Castro's double feature screening of Puzzle of a Downfall Child (1970) and The Eyes of Laura Mars (1978). In the first flick, Dunaway stars as a fashion model recovering from a nervous breakdown in a "tour-de-force" performance, and in the second, she plays a fashion photographer who's channeling a serial killer. MUSIC: Pinback brings their signature melancholy- and pop-tinged, post-modern indie gems to Bimbo's tonight, with guest Kenseth Thibideau, who Flavorpill says "has been a touring member of Pinback's rotating instrumentalist lineup and is now a recognized indie rocker in his own right."
