ART: YBCA celebrate Chinese New Year with the opening of Dad and Mom, Don’t Worry About Us, We Are All Well, a solo exhibition by Chinese conceptual artist Song Dong, which features as its centerpiece a large-scale installation comprised of over 10,000 items ranging from pots and basins to blankets, bottle caps, toothpaste tubes, and stuffed animals collected by the artist's mother over the course of more than five decades. Tonight's opening will also feature live music by S.F.-based electronic artist Jonas Reinhardt.

FILM: Noise Pop presents Pool Party, a documentary about Brooklyn's McCarren Pool, which has played host to rock shows featuring countless prominent indie bands. The film weaves stories of neighborhood locals, artists, famed politicians, community organizers and musicians and traces the process of gentrification of one of the most vibrant corners in the city.

ART II: Head over to Southern Exposure's 11th Annual Monster Drawing Rally and observe over 130 artists in action. Watch them bring their drawings to life using basic necessities, such as pencils, charcoal, pens, markers, ink, and paper, and them nab the finished pieces for $60 each.
