This week, we've got a Super Bowl weekend special cocktail concoctions from Seasons, the restaurant-bar at the Four Seasons hotel downtown. Bar manager Oliver Lee explains the drink, which isn't exactly Wisconsin-like, thusly: "The idea was to create a spring-themed cocktail to get people out of the 'winter doldrums,' hence the cucumber and basil. Also, we wanted to create a fun way to support a Super Bowl team. The cucumber and basil turn the gin a soft green, which is a nice tie-in to the Green Bay Packers.”

The Gin Bay Packer

1.5 oz Hendricks gin
2 cucumber peels
Small handful basil
0.5 oz fresh Lime Juice
Tonic

Muddle together the gin, cucumber peels, and basil in a cocktail shaker (or make a larger batch and let it sit to infuse for several hours or overnight). Shake over ice with fresh lime juice. Double-strain over ice using a fine mesh strainer, and top with tonic. Garnish with a basil sprig.
