We felt it. Did you? A small earthquake was felt around San Francisco at around 4:10 this afternoon. A small ride, really. Nothing too big felt from SFist HQ.

We'll update as soon as we know more.

Update 4:10: USGS reports that a 4.4 4.1 quake was centered around San Jose at 4:10.

No word yet on any damages or injuries.

Update 4:20: CBS 5 reports: "A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck 13 miles east of San Jose."

Update: 4:37: The quake, we should point out, came just as the SF Board of Supervisors agreed to endorse Ed Lee as interim SF Mayor in a vote of 10 for to 1 against. An omen? Only time will tell.
