A massive week of shows with the previously profiled Lumerians at Cafe Du Nord tonight, Portland-based disco revivalist Jeffrey Jerusalem at Milk Thursday and the previously profiled Mi Ami at Bay Area 51 Saturday.

Our featured act this week is Atlanta's Deerhunter, who are in town for a string of shows this weekend with blog darlings Real Estate. A consistent critics' favorite, the self-described “ambient punk” quartet further solidified their reputation as one of indie-pop's most challenging and unpredictable acts this year with the release of their fourth full length, Halcyon Digest. Jumping from shoegaze to kraut to garage to pure pop and back over the course of eleven tracks, the deservedly hyped LP will undoubtedly top countless best of lists come December. While the band's Friday night show at Great American Music Hall has sadly sold out, there are still tickets to be had to their appearance at Slim's Saturday -- we suggest snagging these while you still can.
