An absolutely stacked week of shows with recent San Francisco transplant Electric Sunset at Milk Wednesday, the previously profiled Neon Indian at Mezzanine Thursday, San Diego-based garage rock quartet The Soft Pack The Depot Friday and local favorite Boyz IV Men at El Rio Sunday.

Our featured act this week is Lumerians, who play Rickshaw Stop Friday with White Hills and the Henry Miller Memorial Library Sunday with Sweden's Dungen. Arguably one of the most overlooked acts in the city, Lumerians jam out hypnotic epics that borrow equally from the world of kraut, psych and garage. If you have yet to catch the quartet in action, there is no better starting point than their 2009 appearance on the short-lived Dance Party Revival -- while they sadly do not don the masks and caps live, their live aesthetic is as trance-educing as the video suggests. After a two-plus year gap between recordings, Lumerians are finally set to release their debut full-length on Knitting Factory Records this coming winter -- we expect big things from the band in 2011.

Plenty of other show options this week including blog favorite Twin Shadow at Bimbo's Friday, the previously profiled Mi Ami at Li-Pop lounge Friday, witchy NYC duo Blissed Out at Milk Sunday and the free Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival at Golden Gate Park all weekend long -- as always, be sure to consult the full showlist.
