A plethora of solid shows to choose from this week including Baths at Bottom of the Hill tonight, San Francisco favorite Girls at Fillmore Friday and the previously profiled Cults at the Fillmore Saturday.
This week, however, all eyes are on the Treasure Island Festival. Now in its fourth installment, this year's blowout features previously profiled acts Holy Fuck, Maus Haus, Surfer Blood and Wallpaper alongside heavyweights LCD Soundsystem, !!!, Miike Snow and much, much more. And while the $120 two-day pass is a bit of a hit to the wallet, you will be hard-pressed to find this kind of talent under one metaphorical roof anytime soon. This is easily our favorite local festival, and we strongly encourage you to make the rare trek (halfway) across the Bay Bridge.
Several other show options this week including Magic Bullets at Rickshaw Stop Thursday, the previously profiled Clipd Beaks with Austin's Indian Jewelry at Hemlock Friday and Hot Chip at the Warfield Sunday. And for those of you looking for a psilocybin-friendly alternate to Treasure Island, Thee Parkside is hosting the third installment of the psych-heavy Frisco Freakout Saturday -- with Young Prisms, Sic Alps, Wooden Shjips and more on the bill, we certainly wouldn't blame you for opting to stay in SF this weekend.
