Every Thursday night, the California Academy of Sciences has “NightLife,” an evening event for the 21-and-over crowd. Cocktails and food are available, along with music spun by a rotating roster of local DJs.

The Nightlife tickets are significantly less expensive than the daytime tickets and include a free Planetarium ticket, as well as access to all of the exhibits, including the popular Rainforests of the World dome and the Steinhart Aquarium. Be sure to stop by the Living Roof as well, an undulating architectural design element of Renzo Piano’s building, which has an excellent view of the park around the museum.
