There are only a few spots where camping is allowed in San Francisco, one of them being the stunning Rob Hill in the Presidio, recently re-opened after a $4 million renovation, and open until October 31.

The tent-only campground (bring your own) has new restrooms, a campfire circle, and access to numerous hiking trails. And the price is a steal—each area can accommodate up to 30 people and is rented by the site (not per person), meaning a bargain price of $100 per night. The real draw is, of course, the location. Directly situated over Baker Beach, the campground is in a prime spot, jutting over the ocean, and campers will be awakened by the barks of the seals below.
