Commuters to Oakland, and those who live within the city, are likely familiar with the terrible bus service they've been getting for the last month, as AC Transit drivers have been staging an alleged sickout after the agency's management imposed a new contract on July 18 that was not approved by their union.

A superior court judge in Alameda County today ruled that there was not sufficient evidence to suggest that the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 192 did anything to encourage its members to call in sick at twice the normal rate, which has had a ripple effect on bus service ever since. As NBC Bay Area reports, he ordered AC Transit and the union to begin binding arbitration over the new contract immediately, and basically to quit whining.
