FILM: The annual Another Hole in the Head Film Festival kicks off tonight with Death Kappa, which takes a modern look at the Japanese mythical monster that possesses part animal and part human features, Mutant Girls Squad, a three part film by different directors heralding classic Japanese cult cinema, and A Serbian Film, which features "unspeakable" acts that caused the film to be banned in director Srdjan Spasojevic's own country.

ART: SOMArts Main Gallery presents Totally Unrealistic, an investigation into the concepts and forms of abstract artwork by sculptor Cecil C. Childress, using iron and steel, and the paintings of Ralph Joachim and Marilyn Kuksht, which provide counterpoints to the weighty metal works of Kuksht, "enticing the viewer to consider the concept, diversity, value, and meaning in abstract art today."
