Mercury News, SF Weekly, and SF Examiner have already covered it. But just in case: San Francisco police are on the hunt for a missing teen girl who is suicidal. Her details: Caitlin McMahon, 5'03", 130 lbs, green eyes, brown hair, white, 15 y/o.

SFPD notes:

Caitlin was home for the weekend from a rehab center in Utah. On 06/06/10 at approximately 2140 hours, Caitlin left 800 block of Castro Street.

Caitlin has depression and needs to take her prescribed medications. Caitlin had also attempted suicide numerous times in the past. Caitlin is known to be a heavy-drinker. Caitlin does not have her ID on her. Caitlin also left without her prescription medications. Caitlin's parents believe that she is suicidal.

Also, on her left forearm is a tattoo reading, "This too shall pass." And on her right shoulder there's a "West Cost" (sic) tattoo. Which, if you think about the latter ink, is pretty damn clever. We also think this girl is probably smarter than her peers, which can totally bite; but maybe doesn't yet realize that -- thank God -- the teen years are over in a blink. And then, life can and does, for many, get better real quick. Or whatever.

Anyway, if you've seen her or know of her whereabouts, please contact the Crime Intelligence Center (CIU) at 415-553-1071.
