Memorial Day Bites: Ryan Farr's Bacon-Filled Hot Dogs

Memorial Day Bites: Ryan Farr's Bacon-Filled Hot Dogs

Yes, we know. It's raining. However, the forecast suggests a sunny weekend ahead, so now is the time to stock up on your Memorial Day Weekend bbq needs. Meat eaters out there, this should be first on your list:

Ryan Farr of 4505 Meats fame, debuts a new line of bacon-crammed dogs this week. "Using all-natural agents such as celery juice powder, the 4505 uncured hot dogs are made with only the best hormone and antibiotic free meat," 4505's site boasts. "These dogs are fully cooked in a smokehouse and are filled with BACON goodness." (Aside: We recommend a peppery watercress+arugula salad to help the bi-meatiness go down.) Farr's new hot dogs were inspired the "plump, juicy franks of his happy Midwestern youth."

While it's too late to have them shipped for the three-day weekend, you can pick up the bacon-filled joy at 4505 Meats (located at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market) on Saturday between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. or on Thursday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Links will also be available at Golden Gate Meats at the Ferry Building.
