In lieu of dealing with the Board of Supervisors, Gavin Newsom will have voters decide on the sensitive sit-lie law, which would make it illegal for folks to sit or lie down on sidewalks during certain hours in the city. Newsom plans to attaching it to the November ballot because of "stiff resistance from a majority of supervisors." In an interview with The Chronicle, Newsom said, "It's crystal clear that the board's not serious about it ... We're moving forward with sit/lie."
The proposed sit-lie law has seen outcry from day laborers, prostitutes, and more.
If we can take a stab at it, we assume sit/lie will pass later once it goes on the ballot. That is, if it takes.
But what say you? Will you vote for or against sit/lie?
