<em>American Idiot</em> Nabs 3 Tony Award Nominations

To the handful of you who care about the Tony Awards -- those trinkets awarded annually to theatrical productions taking place in a select few Manhattan theaters -- Green Day's American Idiot received 3 nominations today. The show is up for 'Best Musical,' 'Best Scenic Design," and 'Best Lighting Design'. The rock-jukebox musical previewed at the Berkeley Rep before heading to Broadway last year. Read SFist's review.
