Has another train line anywhere else in the country been so frequently homicidal as our little Peninsula-bound rail?
Caltrain struck and killed someone in San Bruno this morning around 6:30 a.m. and consequently train service is suspended in both directions. We hope this was just a one-off accident and doesn't mark another rash of train suicides like we saw last summer.
Another rhetorical question: If this relatively slow commuter line can be so deadly, what the hell will happen when we get a high-speed rail?
In related news, we hope you don't depend on Caltrain because the agency is facing a big budget deficit and is looking to cut service. [NBC Bay Area]
